The Lady Flames tennis team takes to the road this weekend, taking on a tough Florida International squad. The Panthers (0-0) successfully captured four-of-six singles matches against the No. 47 Illinois Fighting Illini in the UCF Invitational earlier in January. Liberty (2-0) has experience against a tough opponent, having competed in the Hokie Fall Invite back in October of 2014.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two squads, with Florida International looking for a win in its season opener and the Lady Flames looking to remain undefeated.

Liberty returns to action on Jan. 31 when they host a doubleheader against Charlotte at 10 a.m. followed by Villanova at 3:30 p.m. Both contests will take place at the Sports Racket in Lynchburg, Va.
