Lacrosse Tabs a Duo of Captains for 2015 Season

Liberty head lacrosse coach Kelly Nangle has announced Morgan Becker and Nina Dunay as the team captains for the 2015 season.

Becker, a redshirt senior, is coming off a strong season where she tallied 32 goals and eight assists. The Round Hill, Va., native recorded a program best 79 draw controls a year ago and ranks first all-time in program history with 133 draw controls. Becker also ranks second all-time in points (117), third all-time in goals (90) and fourth all-time in assists (27).

Dunay, also a redshirt senior, was named second team all-conference last season thanks to her 22 goals and 11 assists. Dunay caused the most turnovers for the Lady Flames with 23. The Ashburn, Va., native currently holds the program record for career goals with 99. Alongside her accolades, Dunay ranks first all-time in program history in points (131) and third all-time in assists (32) and caused turnovers (54).

The Lady Flames' dynamic duo looks to start Liberty on the right track when they open the season on Feb. 6 against Virginia Tech at 4 p.m. at the Liberty Lacrosse Field.
