Adam Eineving and the Flames will start the spring portion of their 2014-15 schedule with a one-day match at Stetson on Monday.

The Liberty men's golf spring schedule will start a few days earlier than expected as the Flames have added a one-day match at Stetson.

The Flames and the Hatters will square off against each other on Monday, playing 36 holes at the Victoria Hills Golf Club in DeLand, Fla. Each team will play nine golfers with the top seven scores counting toward the team total.

The Victoria Hills Golf Club was recently named one of the top 25 golf courses in the state of Florida by Golf Digest. The par-72, 7,149-yard course opened in 2000.

A new-look Flames' team finished the fall strong, posting a runner-up finish at the Pinetree Intercollegiate. Liberty closed the two-day Kennesaw State event with a 6-under par 282, the best 18-hole team total for the Flames since last spring.

Liberty was paced by freshman Isaiah Logue during the two-day, 54-hole event. The native of Fairfield, Pa., finished in fourth place with a 4-under par 212 (73-71-68), including red-figure scores during his final two rounds of the fall.

Logue finished the fall ranked second on Liberty's roster after posting a 75.0 stroke average during four tournaments.

Mathieu Fenasse, the lone senior on Liberty's 2014-15 roster, led the Flames with a 74.0 stroke average. The native of Lias, France, posted top 10 finishes in two of four tournaments, including a fifth-place showing at the Shoal Creek Invitational with a 2-under par 214 (72-72-70).

Adam Eineving, a freshman from Gothenburg, Sweden, finished the fall third on the team with a 76.18 stroke.

The one-day event hosted by Stetson will allow some of 11-year head men's golf coach Jeff Thomas' younger players to showcase their talents before Liberty resumes its full tournament schedule next month.

Liberty's 2014-15 roster is comprised of six freshmen, one sophomore, two juniors and one senior.

The Flames will resume their traditional tournament schedule on Feb. 2-3 when they participate in the Sea Best Invitational. The 54-hole event will be hosted by Jacksonville at the TPC Sawgress Valley Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
