Leading up to the Liberty lacrosse season opener on Feb. 6 vs. Virginia Tech, LibertyFlames.com will provide a look at each of the Lady Flames' newcomers. Today's article features Eden Bayuk, Anna Browne and Caroline Smith.

Why did you choose Liberty?

Bayuk: I chose Liberty because I have the opportunity to play lacrosse while getting a better education.

Browne: I chose Liberty because of its commitment to Christian values and positive atmosphere. Liberty also gives me an opportunity that I am truly grateful for, an opportunity to play lacrosse.

Smith: I chose Liberty for the amazing opportunity to play Division I lacrosse and attend a Christian university at the same time.

What has been the biggest adjustment you've had to make since joining the squad here at Liberty?

Bayuk: My biggest adjustment would be getting used to the bigger school.

Browne: The biggest adjustment that I have had to make is getting used to the high level of play. Not only has the speed of the game increased, but also the mental aspect of the game.

Smith: Time management has been my biggest adjustment as I balance lacrosse, school and social time. However, with the help of my new teammates, it has been a smooth adjustment.

What are you looking forward to the most this season?

Bayuk: Seeing all of our hard work throughout the year pay off.

Browne: I'm looking forward to seeing the hard work my team has put into the fall pay off this season.

Smith: I am looking forward to glorifying God through my favorite sport alongside the people I love.

What are your goals for this season?

Bayuk: To become a better player both physically and mentally every week.

Browne: My goal for this season is to win the Big South Championship by helping push my teammates to get better. Personally, I want to get physically stronger and mentally tougher.

Smith: A few of my goals for this season would be to help encourage and better my teammates along with being a key factor on the attacking end of the field.

What do you do in your spare time when you aren't on the lacrosse field?

Bayuk: I typically do homework in my spare time.

Browne: In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my friends, growing my relationship with Christ, working hard on my academics and eating a lot of doughnuts (just kidding).

Smith: In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my teammates, watching sports and spending time in the Word.
