On the eve of Liberty's home women's basketball matchup against Longwood, Nick Pierce of the Liberty Flames Sports Network caught up with sophomore forward Mickayla Sanders.

Sanders has given the Lady Flames a lift off the bench in seven games since returning from injury. She is averaging 8.7 ppg and has nailed nine three-pointers.

Liberty (10-5, 6-0 Big South), the only remaining unbeaten team in conference play, will host Route 460 foe Longwood Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Lady Flames will then take to the road for a Saturday 2 p.m. contest at Charleston Southern.
