Harbison and Wilson Named to VaSID All-State Teams
Harbison was named to the squad's first team, while Wilson was selected to the second team.
Voting for the team is conducted by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID). The all-state team honors the best Division I men's soccer players in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Harbison receives his first all-state selection. The junior defender was named to the Big South All-Conference first team in 2014.
The Auburn, Ala., native finished the year second on the Flames to Wilson with four goals and nine points. The defender also tied Wilson for the team lead with three game-winning goals.
Harbision started every Flames contest in 2014 and has been among the Liberty starting 11 for the 57 consecutive matches. Playing at left center defender, he was part of a defense which has allowed 1.1 goals per game and recorded six shutouts this season.
Wilson receives his second all-state mention, being named to the second team for the second straight year. The junior forward was an honorable mention selection to the Big South All-Conference team this season.
For the second straight year, Wilson led the Flames in scoring. The junior netted eight goals and added one assist for 17 points. He tied for fourth in the Big South Conference in goals in 2014.
The Stow, Ohio, native has played in all 18 of Liberty's contests this season and tied for the team lead with three game-winning goals. All three of his game-winning goals came in Big South Play.
Wilson also was named to the all-academic team for his accomplishments in the classroom.
The Flames posted an 11-6-1 overall record and recorded a 6-3 mark in Big South Conference play in 2014. It is the eighth time in head coach Jeff Alder's 14 years, Liberty posted a double-digit win total.
