Kyle Wheeler has won three straight men's high jump titles at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The Liberty men's indoor track & field team was picked to win its 18th consecutive Big South Conference title, as voted upon by the league's head coaches. Meanwhile, the Lady Flames were voted a close second behind Coastal Carolina.

Head Coach Brant Tolsma's men's squad has captured all 17 team titles in the history of the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships, marking the longest active conference championship streak in NCAA Division I men's track & field. This year's team received six of the seven first-place votes and 41 total points for the No. 1 spot in the poll.

Campbell, which finished just 24.5 points behind the Flames at the 2014 Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships, earned the other first-place nod and tallied 35 points for second place in the voting.

High Point (third place, 29 points), Gardner-Webb (fourth, 20), Winthrop (fifth, 14) and UNC Asheville (sixth, 8) round out the men's poll. Only six men's teams will compete at the 2015 Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships, which marks the fewest entrants at this meet since 2003.

On the women's side, Coastal Carolina is favored to win its third consecutive championship at this meet. The Chanticleers garnered six out of nine first-place votes and 78 total points.

The Lady Flames claimed a pair of first-place votes and 73 points for second place in the poll. They have finished as the runner-up at this meet for two straight seasons, following a run of three consecutive Big South indoor titles (2010, 2011 & 2012).

Campbell was picked third, earning the final first-place nod and 62 points. The Camels were followed by High Point (fourth place, 51 points) and Charleston Southern (fifth, 47).

Radford (sixth, 32), Winthrop (seventh, 25), Gardner-Webb (eighth, 23) and UNC Asheville (ninth, 14) wrap up the women's poll.

The Lady Flames officially opened the 2014-15 indoor season on Dec. 3-4 at the inaugural Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational at the Tolsma Indoor Track Center. Liberty will begin its men's season at the Liberty Open, slated for Jan. 16-17.

The 2015 Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships will return to the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. for the second time in three years. The meet is slated for Feb. 26-27.
