The Liberty volleyball team closes out its 2014 regular-season schedule with a pair of home matches this weekend. Nick Pierce recently caught up with senior Melissa Racz, as she and classmate Gabrielle Shipe will be honored with a Senior Day ceremony prior to the Lady Flames' match against Gardner-Webb on Saturday at 1 p.m.

During her time at Liberty, Racz has helped the Lady Flames post a 78-47 record, including 42-12 in Big South play. Racz and Shipe both played key roles on Liberty's conference champion and NCAA-qualifying teams during their freshman and sophomore seasons, 2011 and 2012. Racz started 25 matches as a freshman, finishing fourth on the team in kills and blocks. This season, Racz serves as a team captain.

The Lady Flames (22-8, 9-3 Big South) host UNC Asheville on Friday at 3:30, the start of a tripleheader at the Vines Center that also includes women's basketball and men's basketball games. Liberty then faces Gardner-Webb at 1 p.m. on Saturday in both teams' final regular-season match.
