Following the team's final full practice this week, head football coach Turner Gill met with the media on Thursday to discuss his team's preparation for the Monmouth game.

The Flames will be facing the Hawks for the second season in a row, but for the first time as Big South opponents. Monmouth (5-3, 0-2 BSC) is in its first year as an associate member of the conference.

The last time the two teams met was last season when the Flames opened up the home portion of their 2013 schedule with a 45-15 win over the Hawks on Sept. 7.

Liberty has won 21 of its last 22 Big South Conference games at home, dating back to the 2006 season. During those 22 games, Liberty has outscored opponents by a margin of 22.91 points per game.

At halftime of the Big South Conference matchup, Liberty Athletics will present a special Military Appreciation Show. During the near 20-minute moving halftime presentation, all active and retired members of the armed forces will be honored for their service to our great country.

The Liberty Flames Sports Network (LFSN) will provide radio coverage for the game, while American Sports Network (ASN) will broadcast through its various television streaming outlets. For more information about where to watch and/or listen to the game, check out the Game Day Central page for this Saturday's road contest.
