Throughout the 2014 football season, LFSN Game On reporter Alan York will take a weekly look inside Liberty's football program in a segment called "Between the Lines."

During this week's segment, York looks at the career of senior linebacker Nick Sigmon and how his return from an injury has impacted the Flames during Big South play.

The Roanoke, Va., native is a three-time Big South all-conference selection and is one of two Flames on Liberty's roster with 200 career tackles (joined on the list by senior safety Jacob Hagen).

Earlier this year, Sigmon suffered an injury at Indiana State, which resulted in him missing Liberty's games against Richmond and Appalachian State. Following his return, Sigmon has helped solidify a Liberty defense that has allowed only seven points in two Big South games.

He is slated to start his 39th career game this weekend against Monmouth and is looking to cap off his career at Liberty by helping the Flames to their first-ever trip to the NCAA FCS Playoffs.
