The Flames moved to 2-0 in Big South on Saturday, jumping out to a three-score lead and not looking back en route to a 28-7 victory over Presbyterian at Bailey Memorial Stadium.

Trailing 14-0, the Blue Hose started to move the ball midway through the second quarter. Presbyterian elected to go for it on a fourth-and-eight play from Liberty's 30-yard line. However, the Flames came up with a defensive stop and then connected on a 70-yard Josh Woodrum touchdown pass to Darrin Peterson on the next play to seal the victory.

Liberty won the turnover battle in the game, finishing the contest with four interceptions and without a Flames' giveaway. Liberty now ranks No. 13 in the country with 12 interceptions.

Woodrum finished the game with three of Liberty's four offensive touchdowns (one rushing, two passing). The junior enters this week leading the Big South and ranked No. 7 in the country in points responsible for per game (17.3).
