Liberty junior kicker John Lunsford thrilled the Flames' record-breaking crowd on Saturday night at Williams Stadium, sending the game into overtime with a 60-yard field goal as time expired.

The kick broke his own school and Big South record, which he set earlier this year when he connected on a 57-yard field goal against Bryant. Lunsford's field goal also tied the sixth longest field goal in NCAA FCS history.

Following the game, Lunsford was honored with his field goal being named No. 4 on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays listing.

The kick was seen by Liberty's record-breaking crowd of 20,838 Homecoming weekend fans, surpassing the previous Williams Stadium record by more than 1,500.
