Following the conclusion of the 2014 Liberty Invitational, Chierstin Susel of LFSN GameOn caught up with Liberty Volleyball Head Coach Shane Pinder.

The Lady Flames posted a 2-2 record at the Liberty Invitational, downing Howard and UNCG and falling to Murray State and USC Upstate. Liberty rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat UNCG in the final match of the weekend. Caroline Douglas recorded a season-high 21 kills against UNCG, earning a spot on the Liberty Invitational All-Tournament Team. Hannah Weidner excelled during the weekend as well, and was named the Big South Freshman of the Week today.

Liberty (5-3) continues its campaign tomorrow night in Washington, D.C., taking on Georgetown at 7 p.m. The Lady Flames will then head to Providence, R.I., to compete in four matches at the Brown Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
