Following the team's final full practice this week, head football coach Turner Gill met with the media on Thursday to discuss his team's preparation for the Norfolk State game.

Both Liberty and Norfolk State are looking to bounce back following season-opening losses to nationally ranked opponents. Liberty fell, 56-29, to No. 23/23 North Carolina (FBS rankings), while Norfolk State suffered a 10-6 setback at No. 25/20 Maine (FCS rankings).

Norfolk State has won the last two meetings in the series between the two teams, including the last time the Flames visited William "Dick" Price Stadium. Liberty dropped a 34-17 decision to Norfolk State on Nov. 19 which wrapped up the 2005 season for both teams.

The last time the two teams met on the gridiron was on Sept. 8, 2012, at Williams Stadium. The Spartans, who entered the game ranked No. 24 in the country, spoiled Gill's first home game at Liberty as Norfolk State won 31-24.

The Liberty Flames Sports Network (LFSN) will provide both radio and television coverage for the road contest. For more information about where to watch and/or listen to LFSN's coverage of the game, check out the Game Day Central page for this Saturday's afternoon contest.
