Big South's announcement of adding Kennesaw State as an associate member

In addition to its position previews and player features, LibertyFlames.com will take a look at each of Liberty's 2014 Big South football opponents during the month of August.

During the opponent series, the website will bring you audio from the head coach of each football program, as LFSN's Nick Pierce had a chance to talk with them during Big South Football Media Day in July.

Today, the series begins by taking a look at the newest member of the conference in associate member Kennesaw State.

The Owls announced in 2010 their intentions to start a football program and the university hired former Georgia Tech assistant coach Brian Bohannon as the program's first head coach on March 24, 2013.

Kennesaw State will play its first football game on Sept. 3, 2015, against East Tennessee State and will travel to Lynchburg later that season to face the Flames in Williams Stadium in October.

During today's interview, Pierce had a chance to talk with Bohannon about starting up a new program and the excitement that comes with this challenge.
