MBB Game Day Central: Coastal Carolina
Coming off a 65-53 win over Presbyterian College, this past Saturday, the Liberty men's basketball team heads to Conway, S.C., for a meeting with Coastal Carolina, Wednesday. Last season, the Flames defeated the Chanticleers in the regular season (64-56) before eliminating Coastal Carolina on its home court, 78-61 in the opening round of the 2013 Big South Championship (March 5, 2013).
Liberty went on to string together three more victories inside The HTC Center to claim its third conference championship and NCAA appearance. The Chanticleers look to avenge last season's loss to the Flames and bring an end to their current 4-0 win streak in the facility. Tipoff for Wednesday's contest is slated for 7 p.m.

The last time Sanders had 10 helpers was in Liberty's 102-101 defeat at Longwood on Feb. 13, 2013. Along with his assist total, Sanders also posted 13 points against the Blue Hose, surpassing Julius Nwosu for 14th on Liberty's all-time scoring list with 1,260 tallies.
Five Minutes of Fame – Casey Roberts made the most of his playing time against PC, Saturday. The senior recorded eight points in five minutes of action, going 3-of-3 from the field and 2-of-2 at from three-point land.
24 Becomes 24th – Redshirt senior Antwan Burrus finished with 12 points off the bench, Saturday, becoming the 24th member of Liberty's 1,000-point club. Burrus joins teammate John Caleb Sanders, who entered the exclusive group in Liberty's NCAA First Four game against North Carolina A&T (March 19, 2013). The tandem becomes sixth Liberty pairing to share the honor simultaneously.
