Following the conclusion of the fall portion of the 2013-14 swimming & diving season, Nick Pierce of the Liberty Flames Sports Network recently caught up with Liberty Head Swimming & Diving Coach Jake Shellenberger for an interview.

The interview focused on Liberty's season to date, along with a look ahead at the Lady Flames' meets after the New Year. This season has seen the Lady Flames post wins over Michigan State of the Big Ten and the SEC's Vanderbilt. Liberty has received NCAA B cut swims from both Emilie Kaufman and Jess Reinhardt this year, while lowering three program records.

The Lady Flames will begin the year 2014 in Fort Myers, Fla., competing at the Florida Gulf Coast Quad Meet on Saturday. This will mark the fourth season in a row in which Liberty swimming & diving has opened the New Year with a training trip to Florida Gulf Coast.
