Liberty head coach Jake Shellenberger leads the Liberty swimming & diving team as it prepares for weekend meets against Vanderbilt and Richmond.

While the Liberty swimming & diving team got ready to host an SEC program for the first time, Liberty Flames Sports Network's Nick Pierce sat down for an interview with fourth-year head coach Jake Shellenberger.

The interview focused on Liberty's early success this season, including a victory over Big Ten program Michigan State. Shellenberger highlights some of the Lady Flames' top performances so far, and provides a preview to this weekend's meets against Vanderbilt and Richmond.

The Lady Flames host Vanderbilt at 5 p.m. today, inside the LaHaye Aquatic Center. Prior to the meet, Liberty will honor its senior swimmers, Emilie Kaufman, Sarah Kendrick, Bethany Kennon and Brye Ravettine. Tomorrow at noon, Liberty will compete at defending Atlantic 10 champion Richmond.
