Following a bye week, the Flames are set for their Big South Conference opener against No. 6/4 Coastal Carolina this Saturday at Williams Stadium as part of Homecoming weekend.

Shortly after the Flames finished their final full practice yesterday afternoon, Liberty Flames Sports Network reporter Alan York had one last chance to talk with Flames' Head Coach Turner Gill.

The Flames will be looking to extend their Big South record 18-game home conference winning streak on Saturday when they face the Chanticleers. Liberty has not lost a Big South game at Williams Stadium since a 27-24 setback to Gardner-Webb on Oct. 21, 2006.

The series between the two schools is tied at 5-5 with the home team having won eight out of 10 matchups.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN3 as part of the Big South television package. Additionally, the contest will be one of three remaining games where the coaching staffs will be allowed to use instant replay to challenge official's calls on the field.

Kickoff for the Homecoming game is set for 3:35 p.m. For more information about the game, visit Liberty's Game Day Central page.
