Sarah Boruta is in her fourth season on the Liberty women's basketball staff as director of operations. Boruta serves as director for the Lady Flames' summer camps, which have seen a 500 percent increase in campers since her arrival at Liberty. She also oversees the team's outreach activities, including postgame clinics and community service events, such as the Reading Buddies program and Best Field Trip Ever Day.

Additionally, Boruta has been tasked by Athletic Director Jeff Barber to assist the athletic department in the area of video and technology. In this role, Boruta oversees all sports' video and technology by serving as a liaison between coaches, administrators, and Information Technology, with the goal of improving the efficiency of each team's video and technology workflow and resources. She also serves as a resource for coaches by teaching them how to best utilize their software and being available to answer questions and troubleshoot any issues.

Before arriving at Liberty, Boruta spent three years (2008-09 through 2009-11) at Stanford, where she was promoted from video intern to director of basketball marketing and video. She also previously spent three years (2005-06 through 2007-08) as the director of women's basketball operations at Ferris State.

"We are excited to have someone with such character as Sarah who is driven to honor God with the skills and talents she has been given," added Green. "She has established herself as an excellent worker, serving those around her in an exceptional way."

Boruta served in many different roles at Stanford, including coordinating team travel and video exchange. She also spearheaded the team's social media efforts, as well as the Cardinal's game-day promotions and group events. While Boruta was at Stanford, the Cardinal saw an 18 percent increase in overall attendance and a 340 percent increase in student attendance.

At Ferris State, Boruta organized the Bulldogs' summer camps and clinics, while coordinating video exchange. She also designed marketing and promotional materials for the team.

Boruta has worked with some successful teams, including three straight Stanford squads which reached the Final Four of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship. The 2009-10 Cardinal finished as national runner-up. Additionally, the 2006-07 Ferris State team won a school-record 23 games and advanced to the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship's Sweet 16 round.

Boruta owns a trio of degrees, including both an associate's degree in visual design and web media (2006) and a bachelor's degree in graphic design (2008) from Ferris State. She went on to earn a master's degree in sport management from California (Pa.) in 2010 and is currently working toward an MBA at Liberty.
