Keely McMillon, a standout catcher for the Lady Flames from 2008-11, returns to the program as a volunteer assistant coach. McMillon will serve as Liberty's hitting coach during the 2013 season.

A four-year starter, primarily behind the plate, McMillon played a key role as a senior on the Lady Flames' 2011 Big South champion team. During her senior season, McMillon was named to the Big South All-Conference first team and was also a second-team VaSID All-State selection.

As a senior, she placed fifth in the conference with a .331 batting average to go along with six doubles, five home runs and 26 RBIs. She also posted career highs with 20 walks, a .492 slugging percentage and .425 on base percentage in 2011.

For her efforts in the 2009 Big South Softball Championship, McMillon was voted to the all-tournament team. She hit a game-winning two-run homer in the conference semifinal against Charleston Southern to help send the Lady Flames to the final round against Radford.

McMillon graduated from Liberty with a bachelor's degree in sport management in 2011. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in sport management and is scheduled to earn her degree in May of 2013.
