One year after graduating as one of the top female hurdlers in Liberty track & field history, Olivia Charnuski will work with the team's hurdlers this season as a volunteer assistant coach.

Charnuski's greatest collegiate achievements came in the 100-meter hurdles, where she set the program record at 13.65 and also won the 2011 Big South title. A seven-time All-Big South honoree, Charnuski also owns program records in the indoor 200 (24.87), outdoor 4 x 100 relay (45.90) and outdoor shuttle hurdles relay (58.77).

A native of Elmira, Ontario, Charnuski represented Canada at the 2008 Youth Commonwealth Games. She also placed ninth in the 100 hurdles at the 2008 Canadian Olympic Trials, just after the conclusion of her high school senior year.

Charnuski, a four-time Big South Presidential Honor Roll member, graduated in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology. She is currently working toward a master's degree in public health at Liberty.
