The Flames Sports Hotline returns to the airwaves this evening at 7 p.m. The show is hosted weekly at Doc's Diner and will feature Liberty Men's Basketball Head Coach Dale Layer and Women's Basketball Head Coach Carey Green during the football team's bye week.

New this year, the Flames Sports Hotline will air weekly on the ESPNinVA network, which includes the following ESPN Radio stations in the Central Virginia area: 93.3 FM (Lynchburg), 106.3 FM (Danville), 1240 AM (Roanoke), 1320 AM (Lynchburg) and 1350 AM (Bedford).

The weekly show is hosted locally in Lynchburg on Liberty University's campus at Doc's Diner, and the restaurant is open to the student body and the general public. The show is broadcast live throughout the 50's-style diner and fans are encouraged to participate during the call-in segments.

Alan York, the radio "Voice of the Flames," hosts the call-in show, which will open with a segment with Liberty Football Head Coach Turner Gill. After Gill recaps the Flames' 21-17 setback at Old Dominion on Saturday, the remainder of the hour-long show will focus on the upcoming men's and women's basketball seasons.

Green and redshirt junior point guard Emily Frazier will preview the 2013-14 women's basketball season, which tips off Nov. 8 at Charlotte. Frazier is one of two returning starters from last year's team, which went 27-7 and won its second straight Big South title.

York will then be joined by Layer and redshirt senior center Joel Vander Pol to chat about the 2013-14 men's basketball team. The defending Big South champion Flames will open the season Nov. 8 with a home game against Randolph College.

Flames Nation fans can listen to the show locally by tuning their radio dials to any of the ESPNinVA network of stations in the Central Virginia area. The show will also air live online at LibertyFlames.com and can be heard by clicking on the link above.
