The Flames Club 1979-2014 – 35 Years of History
Launched in 1979 as the “Big Blue Club,” the Flames Club has a long history of name changes:

• LBC Scholarship Foundation Association (SFA) | 1980-83
• Talon Club | 1983-90
• LU Athletic Association (LUAA) | 1990-2001

The Flames Club enjoyed its ninth consecutive year of record growth as its 625 members contributed $571,000 to the 2013 Annual Fund. This represented a 21% increase in monetary contributions and a 12% increase in membership from 2012.
The Flames Club – Where You Come In
The Flames Club is where you come in. It’s the part that you play. It’s how you make a difference. We need you — alumni, ticket buyers, former student-athletes, fans, supporters, local businesses, parents, and family — all of Flames Nation. As members in the Flames Club you are an integral part of the success of Liberty University Athletics.
With the ever-increasing cost of competing at the NCAA Division I level, a dynamic booster club is essential to putting the strongest possible teams on the field, court, track, course, and in the pool. The mission of the Flames Club is to raise financial support for Liberty Athletics, ensuring that our coaches and student-athletes have everything they need on the academic, athletic, and spiritual level to compete for championships.
Members of the Flames Club enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that their gifts are ultimately investments in the lives of our student-athletes. As a member you can enjoy preferred parking, seating, and hospitality privileges (based upon membership level). Benefits may also be refused for maximum tax deductibility (see your tax advisor).
We simply can’t get there without your help. Membership starts at just $60. Are you in? Can we count on you?
