Former Flames tight end Dominique Jones, who played with the Indianapolis Colts (2012-13), and is now with the Buffalo Bills.

LFSN's Nick Pierce recently had a chance to talk with former Flames football players Chris Summers and Dominique Jones, who are both currently members of the Buffalo Bills roster.

The pair were in Charlotte, N.C., for the NFL preseason football contest between the Buffalo Bills and the Carolina Panthers on Aug. 8. The Bills walked away with the 20-18 victory despite an attempted late rally by the homestanding Panthers at Bank of America Stadium.

Jones (TE) and Summers (WR) were teammates at Liberty during the 2008 and 2009 seasons, helping the Flames capture Big South titles during both years.

Summers completed his career at Liberty in 2011 as the Flames' all-time career leader with 2,712 receiving yards, 188 career receptions and 27 receiving touchdowns.

Jones played in 12 games during two seasons at Liberty, finishing his career with nine receptions, 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He transferred from Liberty and completed his senior year at Shepherd College where he had 34 receptions for 403 yards and nine touchdowns in 2010.

Jones signed a free agent contract with the Indianapolis Colts in 2012 and played with both the Colts and Kansas City Chiefs during the 2013 season.

Summers signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears out of college and was with the Minnesota Vikings franchise during 2012 and 2013 seasons.
