Throughout the month of August, LibertyFlames.com will continue to provide in-depth coverage of football's preparation for its 2014 season, including player insight features.

We continue the series of player insight features today with Gabe Henderson, the senior member of Liberty's starting three wide receivers.

Henderson proved last year that he has fully made the transition from quarterback, a position he was expected to play when he signed at Liberty, to wide receiver.

Henderson finished 2013 ranked second on the team in receptions (47) and receiving yards (641). He tied for third with three receiving touchdowns.

The native of Garner, N.C., averaged 13.6 yards per reception and had breakout games against Coastal Carolina and Old Dominion. He posted consecutive 100-yard games against the two foes, finishing the Coastal Carolina game with a season-high nine receptions and 135 yards. The week prior, Henderson had eight catches for 120 yards at Old Dominion.

LibertyFlames.com will continue its player insight features later this weekend when LFSN reporter Alan York talks with offensive lineman Greg Ray on Sunday.
