From the press box overlooking North Florida's Hodges Stadium, LibertyFlames.com will provide live blog coverage of all three days of the 2014 NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round meet.

Twelve will be the magic number in hot, humid Jacksonville, Fla., as the top 12 competitors in each event will earn the right to compete in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships. That meet will be contested June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore.

Three of Liberty's seven athletes at this meet will be in action today, each of whom will be seeking their first-ever trip to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Here's how the Thursday schedule looks for the Flames and Lady Flames.

Noon – Men's Javelin (Daniel Klase)
6:30 p.m. – Men's 100 First Round (ConRoy Smith)
8:35 p.m. – Women's 800 First Round (Meghan Burggraf)

I will once again use the interactive CoveritLive blog interface. This format allows readers to submit comments and questions throughout the day, as you follow your favorite Flames and Lady Flames.

Without further ado, go Liberty!
