The Liberty lacrosse team concluded its regular season road schedule with a 16-3 setback against Big South Conference leader Davidson on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Richardson Stadium.

Davidson answered with a four-goal run to take a 4-1 advantage with 23:18 showing on the first half game clock. Four different Wildcats found the back of the net for the home team during the scoring run.
Liberty tallied its second goal of the game at the 10:17 mark. Morgan Becker looped around the back of the net and delivered the ball to Nina Dunay just outside of the goal crease. Dunay cradled the pass, spun away from the defense and bounced a shot in between the pipes for her 19th goal of the season.
The Lady Flames' defense held strong through the middle part of the first half, keeping the home team off of the scoreboard for over 18 minutes of play.
The Wildcats ended their scoring drought with four more goals in the final 4:53 of the opening half. Leading scorer Emma Sissman tallied her second and third markers of the half, giving Davidson an 8-2 lead heading into the intermission.

Courtney Brown put the Lady Flames in the scoring column for the third time with her ninth goal of the season. Kelly Belue assisted on the play as Liberty pulled to within 11-3 with 16:17 remaining in the contest.
The Wildcats notched the final five goals of the game en route to the 16-3 victory.
For the contest, Davidson held the edge in shots, 35-8, ground balls, 20-17, draw controls and caused turnovers, 7-5.
The Wildcat's Fucigna scored a game-high five goals, while Emily Cooke posted five assists to lead both squads. Liberty's Jen Moyer scooped up a contest-best four ground balls. Davidson's Paige Logan and Emily Rademacher each corralled six draw controls to lead both teams.
