Jocelyn Williams was named both the Big South and ECAC Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.

Liberty redshirt junior Jocelyn Williams earned her second conference award of the day Wednesday evening, taking home the Corvais ECAC Division I South Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week honor.

Williams was named the Big South Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week earlier in the day, after a standout performance at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup.

On Friday, Williams shattered her own school record in the women's weight throw by a foot and a half, extending it to 64-0.25 while placing third in the event. The 2012 ECAC women's weight throw champion sits No. 7 in the ECAC thus far this season and ranks No. 38 nationally.

The following day, Williams improved her shot put personal best to 43-10.75 and finished eighth in the event. The New Jersey native is now tied with Caitlyn Sutterfield for fourth place on Liberty's all-time shot put list.

Williams helped the Lady Flames achieve a fourth-place team finish at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup, their highest placement in seven appearances at the Penn State-hosted meet.

This weekend, Williams will compete in the shot put and weight throw at the Don Kirby Collegiate Elite Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. The same venue at the Albuquerque Convention Center will host the 2014 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships in March.

Liberty athletes will also be in action at the Flames' final home meet of the season, the Liberty Quad (Thursday-Friday), and the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash. (Friday-Saturday).
