Liberty Athletics Top 10 Moments of 2013: No. 10

LibertyFlames.com begins its countdown of the Top 10 Moments of 2013 for Liberty Athletics today, looking at No. 10, the opening of the Liberty Baseball Stadium.

On Feb. 23, baseball played its first game in the new Liberty Baseball Stadium, defeating Penn State, 4-1, in front of 2,565 fans. The state-of-the-art facility includes 2,500 chairback seats, three VIP suites, coach's offices, locker room, training room and a weight room.

The opening of the stadium continued a recent trend of facility upgrades all around the Liberty campus, giving Liberty Athletics top-notch facilities to train and compete in.

In addition to the opening of the Liberty Baseball Stadium, Liberty's men's and women's basketball teams started using their new practice facility in 2013. The three-court facility is located behind the Vines Center, with 1 ½ courts dedicated to each basketball program.
