Continuing with LibertyFlames.com's look back at the 2013 season, today Liberty Flames Sports Network reporter Nick Pierce visits with Flames' offensive coordinator Aaron Stamn.

Stamn recently completed his second season as Liberty's offensive coordinator, helping the Flames post an 8-4 overall record, a two-win improvement over 2012. Liberty also shared the Big South title with NCAA FCS Playoff quarterfinalist Coastal Carolina with both programs finishing conference play with a 4-1 record.

Liberty's offensive production was certainly up this season. The Flames finished their year ranked No. 15 in the country in scoring offense (37.3 points per game). Liberty scored 50 or more points in a game four times and scored the second most points in a season in program history (447 points).

Of the 16 first and second team All-Big South selections Liberty had last week, eight were offensive players (first team – Darrin Peterson/WR, Brandon Apon/TE, Hunter Steward/OL; second team – Josh Woodrum/QB, Desmond Rice/RB, Jonathan Burgess/OL, Mitch Hanson/OL and Greg Ray/OL).

The Flames' offense was led by second-year starting quarterback Josh Woodrum. He had a banner year, leading the Flames and ranked No. 1 in the Big South in passing yards (2,581) and passing touchdowns (19). Woodrum also had the second-best sophomore passing season in program history with 2,581 passing yards.

Running back Desmond Rice finished the year with 16 rushing touchdowns, one shy of the single-season school record. Wide receiver Darrin Peterson led the Flames and ranks No. 2 in the Big South in receptions (57) and receiving touchdowns (7). He had the second-best sophomore receiving season in program history with 809 receiving yards.

Tight end Brandon Apon left his mark on the Big South record. He finished his career with the most career touchdown receptions by a tight end (8), four of which he recorded during his senior campaign.

Four of the Flames' starting five offensive linemen earned Big South all-conference honors in 2013. The group helped Liberty rank No. 36 in the country in total offense (420.8 total offensive yards per game) and rush for a school record 36 touchdowns.

Today's LFSN video recap wraps us LibertyFlames.com's look back on the 2013 season.
