The Liberty Flames men's tennis tandem of Shea Thomas and Jorge Azuero are in the midst of a historic run at the ITA Atlantic Regional tournament at Virginia Tech. The duo will play for the doubles title tomorrow morning against the No. 17 doubles pair in the nation and No. 2 seed in the tournament, Andreas Bjerrehus and Amerigo Contini of Virginia Tech.

Thomas and Azuero are the first Liberty tandem to ever make it past the round of 16 in either singles or doubles play at the ITA Atlantic Regional. The senior and junior duo has navigated through a difficult draw which featured the top teams in the region, including reigning NCAA doubles champion Mac Styslinger of Virginia.

Thomas and Azuero have already defeated seeded pairs from Virginia Tech, Richmond and Penn State and will need one more victory to claim the title.

A full recap of the tournament will follow tomorrow's title match.
