2013-14 Liberty Track & Field Schedule

Five home meets highlight the 2013-14 Liberty track & field schedule, beginning with the season-opening Liberty Kickoff on Dec. 4-5.

Liberty will also host the Liberty Open (Jan. 17-18) and Liberty Quad (Feb. 14) at the Tolsma Indoor Track Center. Meanwhile, the Liberty Collegiate Invitational (April 4-5) and Liberty Twilight Qualifier (April 30) will be contested at the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex.

The Don Kirby Collegiate Elite Invitational (Feb. 14-15) is a new fixture on the Flames' indoor schedule. The meet will enable Liberty's top athletes to preview the Albuquerque Convention Center, which will play host to the 2014 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 14-15.

The other indoor championship meets include the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 28-March 1 in Blacksburg, Va.) and the IC4A/ECAC Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships (March 7-9 in Boston, Mass.)

Liberty's 2014 outdoor track & field campaign will commence with the Coastal Carolina Invitational, March 14-15 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The Flames and Lady Flames will have a busy weekend on March 28-29, sending athletes to the Texas Relays, Raleigh Relays and Winthrop Invitational.

For the first time since 2008, Winthrop will host the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships, April 17-19. Both the Liberty men's and women's squads will attempt to defend their conference titles from 2013.

The IC4A/ECAC Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships return to Princeton, N.J., May 16-18. Two weeks later (May 29-31), Liberty's qualifiers will head to UNF's Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla., for the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round meet.

The year will wrap up at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., for the second straight season, with the 2014 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships (June 11-14).
