Lady Flames Place 15 on CCSA All-Academic Team

Freshman Katie Shoemaker is one of 15 Lady Flames to be named to the 2013 CCSA All-Academic Team/

The Liberty swimming team placed 15 student-athletes on the 2013 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) All-Academic Team.

The CCSA honored 260 men's and women's swimming and diving student-athletes for academic success during the Fall 2012 semester. All-Academic status was awarded to all conference competitors who obtained a 3.0 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale while completing the season as a member of the team's roster.

Liberty's swimmers who were featured on the list include: juniors Sarah McCorkle, Emily Mudd, Brye Ravettine and Bethany Wakeley; sophomores Meghan Babcock, Carley Drye, Emily Duff, Cori Gary, Rachel Nelson and Chloe Thomas; and freshmen Laura Day, Ranndi Grubbs, Kendall Hough, Katie Shoemaker and Hannah Wakeley.

Head Coach Jake Shellenberger's Lady Flames had previously received the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team award, posting a 3.25 GPA as a team during the fall of 2012.
