Annisha Domenech won for Liberty in the No. 6 singles position on Sunday.

Seeking a single-season program-record seventh Big South Conference win of the season on Sunday, the Liberty Lady Flames squared off against Charleston Southern at the Esbenshade Tennis Courts. However, the Buccaneers defeated the home team, 6-1, in Liberty's final home contest of the season.

The Lady Flames' second loss in as many days drops their overall record on the season to 10-9 (6-3 Big South). Charleston Southern ups its record to 11-5 (7-1 Big South) overall on the year.

For the second match in a row, Liberty's Cameron Richard and Valerie Thong captured a win in doubles play. The No. 3 tandem defeated Susita Das and Marketa Placha, 8-7, for their 12th win of the season.

The Buccaneers earned the doubles point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. Alia Nour and Angelica Sidorenko ousted the Lady Flames' Rebekah Jenkins and Nicola Wellman, 8-2, while Yvonne Hubler and Alexandra Walters downed Jessie Boda and Brittany Yang, 8-4.

In the singles matches, Liberty pushed Charleston Southern to three sets in four of the six contests, winning one of them. Annisha Domenech rallied from a one-set deficit to oust Das, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4, in the No. 6 position for the Lady Flames' only point of the afternoon.

Liberty's Yang and Wellman both forced third sets after falling in the first set of their respective matches. Both ultimately lost, as Wellman was defeated by Sidorenko, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2, and Yang was downed by Nour, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. Jenkins claimed the first set against Placha, 7-5, but the Buccaneers' No. 1 player rebounded with wins in the final two frames, 7-5, 1-0 (10-6).

In the No. 2 spot, Hubler defeated Richard, 6-1, 6-1, while No. 5 player Walters dealt Thong her first loss in six matches, 6-2, 6-4.
