• As a senior, he won the Virginia Group AA state pole vault title outdoors and finished second indoors.
• Vaulted a career-best 15-3.5 to win the 2012 Seminole District meet, setting school, meet, district and Group AA records in the process
• Placed seventh in the emerging elite section of the pole vault at the 2012 New Balance Indoor Nationals
• Came in sixth in the pole vault final at the 2011 Virginia Group AA outdoor meet as a junior
• Also competed in gymnastics growing up, placing fifth on the parallel bars and sixth on the pommel horse at the 2009 Canadian Gymnastics Championships
