Jay Calvo is in eighth place after two rounds at West Florida's Argonaut Invitational.
Tom Whitney (69-66—135) of Air Force leads all players at nine under par. Kyle Scott (73-68—141) of West Florida and Will Collins (73-68—141) of Virginia are tied for second place at three under par and six off the leader. Paul Mitzel (72-70—142) of Washington State is in fourth place at two under par.
Liberty is led by Roberty Karlsson (70-74—144), who is in seventh place at even par. Jay Calvo (72-73—145) is in eighth place at one over par, while Tobias Pettersson (70-78—148) and Nathan Schenz-Davis (77-71—148) are both tied for 18th at four over par. Preston Dembowiak (72-77—149) rounds out the Flame five in a tie for 23rd place at five over par.
The Flames have three other players participating in the event as individuals. Chris Watters (82-72—154) is tied for 44th at 10 over par. Stephen Dooley (82-78—160) and Sang Chun (79-81—160) are both tied for 61st at 16 over par.
Air Force (581) is in third place, chasing the Flames and UVa by two strokes. Washington State (582) is not far behind in fourth place, while other Commonwealth member James Madison (586) rounds the top five, seven strokes behind the co-leaders.
The Argonaut Invitational, hosted by West Florida, will conclude with a final round on Tuesday, at the Pensacola Country Club.
