Coach's Corner with Brant Tolsma

Brant Tolsma has coached the Liberty men's and women's cross country teams to 20 Big South titles.

With the 2012 Big South Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships slated for Saturday, Nick Pierce previewed the meet with head coach Brant Tolsma.

Tolsma has enjoyed a significant amount of success at the Big South Cross Country Championships in past years. He is a 16-time Big South Coach of the Year for cross country and his men's and women's teams have captured a combined 20 Big South team titles.

The Flames and Lady Flames will attempt to add to those numbers on Saturday, at the Winthrop Coliseum and Farm in Rock Hill, S.C. At 10:30 a.m., the women's team will try for its first Big South title since 2010. The men's 8K race will then begin at 11:30 a.m., where the Flames will aim for their unprecedented eighth consecutive Big South team championship.
