Completing Financial Check-in...

New students can receive usernames and passwords by going to Liberty's home page: www.liberty.edu
-Choose LU Login
-Choose Create a New Account
-The next page will ask for the ID number; this is the LU student ID number.
-Continue on and follow the directions.
-Upon completion, you will have access to ASIST.

1. Login to ASIST
- From the Liberty Home Page click on LU Login.
- From the LU Login - Splash page, login with your username and password.
- Under My Account in the upper right hand corner of the screen, click on ASIST. You should now be logged into ASIST.

2. Complete Online Financial Check-in Process
- Find and click Log into the New ASIST (at bottom left).
- Find and click Student and Financial Aid.
- Find and click Financial Check-In.
The Financial Check-In welcome page will let you know that you need to proceed through all the pages until you reach the page that states, "Thank you for completion of Financial Check-In".
- Click Get Started.
- Select the term you are completing Financial Check-In for (Fall 2008) and click Continue.
- Review Policies and Procedures. 
- Find and click View Address to update your information. Once you have updated your information, click Continue. 
- The Credit Balance Options page allows you to select which charges you are paying. choose which charges you are paying and click Continue. 
- The Vehicle Registration page gives campus vehicle policies and required items. Select Yes or No regarding having a vehicle on campus and click Continue.  
- Complete On-Campus Application and proceed through Housing selection pages (contact 434-592-4139 for all Housing questions).
- The Financial Check-In Acknowledgement page informs you of important information related to receiving Financial Aid.  
- The Financial Aid Summary page shows elements and awards you may receive.
- The Summary of Account page shows the previous balance, tuition, fees, housing fee, financial aid elements and balance.
- Click Continue to view payment options. 
- Choose a Pay Plan on the Payment Plan Selection page. 
- Once you have selected an option, enter your payment method (credit card or checking account). 
- Read Terms and Conditions, select I agree and click continue.
The next page will show installment plan breakdown, contract and "Thank you for completing Financial Check-In".
