University Provided Cell Phone

Liberty University provides shared cell phones (different from cell phone stipends) for certain university departments who regularly transfer physical possession of a phone amongst department members. This may be due to business processes requiring a single phone number (Ex. after-hour maintenance issues) or for other reasons unique to that department.

Departments who have received internal approval from their director regarding the purchase of a shared cell phone should contact the IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) responsible for their area. A list of the IT BRMs can be found at The BRM will be able to provide the department with the appropriate form to request the shared cellphone. The form will require signatures from the requestor and the vice-president of the requesting department, prior to being submitted for approval.
