Liberty University provides shared cell phones (different from cell phone stipends) for certain university departments who regularly transfer physical possession of a phone amongst department members. This may be due to business processes requiring a single phone number (Ex. after-hour maintenance issues) or for other reasons unique to that department.
Departments who have received internal approval from their director regarding the purchase of a shared cell phone should contact the IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) responsible for their area. A list of the IT BRMs can be found at www.liberty.edu/ITcontacts. The BRM will be able to provide the department with the appropriate form to request the shared cellphone. The form will require signatures from the requestor and the vice-president of the requesting department, prior to being submitted for approval.
