P-Card Replacement

Replacing an Expiring P-Card

Replacements for expiring P-Cards typically arrive at the P-Card Office 2-3 weeks prior to the P-Card expiration month. Upon arrival, the P-Card Office will email Cardholders with the instructions detailing how to pick up the new P-Card. All Cardholders picking up replacement P-Cards must:

  1. Complete an updated online Cardholder Agreement
  2. Complete Finance 100 again to learn the most recent finance policies and procedures

Finance 100 is available in a classroom setting or online. Enroll in either of these classes through the Professional Development Portal under the Courses → Finance tab (FINC_100). If you choose to take the online course, be aware the training materials will be available in Blackboard the morning after enrolling in the course.

  1. Pass the quiz accompanying the Finance 100 training with an 80% or better
  2. Bring a printout of your passing score with your old P-Card to the P-Card Office (Green Hall 1568) in exchange for the new P-Card.

The P-Card Office will contact you by phone or email when the card arrives. Please bring your old P-Card with you in exchange for the replacement.

Reporting and Replacing a Lost, Stolen, or Compromised P-Card

If your P-Card is lost or stolen, or if you see transactions on your P-Card account which you did not authorize, call one of the following immediately to close your card and order a replacement:

During business hours (M-F 7:30 am-5:00 pm), call the P-Card Office at (434) 592-3346. The P-Card Office will assist you in the process and instruct you on what to do next.

Outside of business hours, call BB&T at (800) 397-1253 to report the card as lost, stolen, or compromised, then contact the P-Card Office by phone at (434) 592-3346 or by email to alert them about the situation. BB&T will close your card and send you a replacement, but the P-Card Office will follow up with you to instruct you on what to do next.

Note: To ensure a call with BB&T goes as smoothly as possible:

  • have at least the last 4 digits of your card available
  • mention the card is a corporate credit card through Liberty University
  • give the customer service representative the name on the card exactly as it is embossed on your P-Card

For any questions, please contact the P-Card Office through email at pcard@liberty.edu or phone at (434) 592-3346.
