Alumni Referral
The Liberty University Alumni Referral program utilizes alumni and supporters to identify and encourage prospective students to apply to Liberty. These volunteers reinforce the academic excellence and spiritual integrity of the university through sharing their individual perspective and personal experience.
Women Of Faith:
Liberty University Online will be sponsoring Women of Faith conferences throughout this year. Alumni Volunteer opportunties are availabe for select cities. If you received an email about Liberty University Online coming to your area please fill out the volunteer referrer's application below.
Recruitment Admissions Packet
Volunteering as an alumni referrer does not require you to answer every question the prospective student may have about Liberty or the admissions process. We provide each alumni recruiter with a recruitment admissions packet to help them share their story and Liberty experience with prospective students.
This packet will answer questions they may have and provide avenues to contact Liberty directly. Each packet includes a DVD and brochure about Liberty, along with a letter from the Chancellor, and an application.

Alumni Scholarship
The Alumni Scholarship* is an award for $2,000 ( 500 per year x 4 years) given by an alumnus (limit two students each year) to any new student. The scholarship is for prospective students only. Current students who did not receive this scholarship upon matriculation are not eligible. In order to receive the Alumni Scholarship, the incoming Liberty University student must have been accepted into Liberty and paid the $250 confirmation deposit. The student or alum must complete and submit an Alumni Certificate to the Alumni Relations Office. The Alumni Certificate is distributed to alumni by Liberty's Alumni Relations Office. To fill out the form, go online or email referral@liberty.edu. Once completed, it can be emailed back to referral@liberty.edu or mailed: Liberty University Alumni Relations 1971 University Blvd, Lynchburg VA 24502.

What does Alumni Referral mean?
This program is for Alumni and friends to identify prospective students (Residential & Online) that would be a good fit in the Liberty University culture.
Did you know that students to be enrolled this fall, when asked what helped them ultimately decide to attend Liberty University, 36% said Alumni were the determining factor.
Who can be a Referrer?
- Alumni
- Parents
- Friends of Liberty
- Students
What is the process?
Call or email our office to join Alumni Referral and receive materials. We will send packets of information that can be given to any prospective students.
Residential packets contain:
- DVD about Liberty
- Letter to the student from the chancellor
- Brochure about Liberty
- Application
- The application fee is waived for all applications in the packets
When you request packets our office will mail them out to the specified address.
May I attend College Fairs on behalf of Liberty?
With proper training, yes. We are looking to add this to the program as it grows.
May I request that Liberty be represented at a college night at my school or church?
Yes. Please Contact our office at (800) 628-7973 or email referral@libety.edu We will provide you with further information.
Does this mean I am an official Recruiter for the school and will I get paid?
- Alumni Referrer is a volunteer position.
- Alumni Referrer's help identify prospective students that will then be forwarded on for Admissions to assist with the enrollment process.
How much communication is involved?
We only ask that you share your Liberty experience with a student and give them a packet of information.
