Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will be in Lynchburg, Va., this weekend as the featured special guest speaker at the Extraordinary Women Conference in the Vines Center at Liberty University on Oct. 7-8.
Palin has fulfilled the role of a public figure several times in the past as the Governor of Alaska, John McCain’s vice-presidential candidate, and author and Fox News Contributor, according to the Extraordinary Women’s Conference website.
“Palin has a long record of achievement and experience in public office,” stated the Extraordinary Women’s Conference website.
The conference is being hosted by Julie Clinton, president of Extraordinary Women, and will present other speakers such as Jennifer Rothschild, Donna VanLiere and Lysa TerKeurst. Music and worship will be performed by Jeremy Camp and Meredith Andrews, among others.
“Extraordinary Women exists ‘to help draw women closer to the heart of God’ every day,” Clinton said in a quote on the Extraordinary Women’s Conference website. “… This conference is one of our ways to encourage and pour back into the lives of women.”
The event is sold out for the Vines Center site, but tickets for the overflow audience at Thomas Road Baptist Church are still available at the door or at ewomen.net for a discounted price through Oct. 6.
