Fantasy 4-1-1: NFL week 4

Four weeks into the NFL season, and the injury bug is in full affect. But just as head coaches have to adjust their depth chart, so do you. Now is the time to search the waivers for steals. Plenty of quality players, such as Jason Campbell, Fred Davis and Deion Branch are free agents in most leagues and could make a significant impact on a weekly basis. If you are shallow at a certain position, let’s say running back, search your league for someone who has a surplus of running backs and make a trade. Two or three injuries to your team aren’t the end of the season, so keep fighting and praying.

Start ‘Em

Quarterback – Jason Campbell – Campbell has steadily improved this year, and the Raiders know they’ll have to throw the ball to keep up with the Patriots prolific scoring.

Wide Receiver – Devery Henderson – Henderson has been Drew Brees’ most reliable deep ball threat while receiver Marques Colston has battled injuries.

Running Back – Joseph Addai– Tampa Bay is allowing over 150 rushing yards a game, and Addai may be all the Colts offense has going right for them.

Tight End – Rob Gronkowski – The Patriots are likely going to be without fellow TE Aaron Hernandez for a few weeks, and Gronkowski is finding the end zone every game.

Defense – Baltimore – The Ravens face the Jets in week four, and both teams love to run. Look for the scoring to be low in the battle of defensive powerhouses.

Kicker – John Kasay – Experiencing a standout year at 41 years old, Kasay has been impressive while filling in for the injured Garrett Hartley.

Sit ‘Em

Quarterback – Matt Schaub – The Steelers likely will try to control the clock and keep Schaub on the sidelines in their matchup with the high-flying Texans.

Wide Receiver – Hines Ward – Ward’s role in the offense is decreasing, and Houston’s defensive skill is increasing.

Running Back – Marshawn Lynch – The lethargic Seahawks could fall behind early against the Falcons, forcing them into passing situations to catch up.

Tight End – Chris Cooley – Cooley is quickly watching his grabs go to Fred Davis.

Defense – Oakland – The Raiders face the Patriots offense, enough said.

Kicker – Nick Novak could still be adjusting to his role for the Chargers after Nate Kaeding’s injury.
