According to a Liberty University wide survey, 96% of employees and 91% of students are interested in wellness promotion activities at Liberty. Live Healthy Liberty is a collaborative campus wide effort in response to these findings and our focus is to promote holistic well-being.
Our goal is to bring together departments and coordinate efforts to improve the spiritual, mental and physical health of students, faculty and staff.
To create and sustain a healthy campus culture that educates, motivates and empowers Liberty students, faculty and staff to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyle behaviors.
Dimensions of Wellness
Physical wellness promotes proper care of our bodies for optimal health and functioning. Overall physical wellness encourages the balance of physical activity, nutrition, and lifestyle-behavior choices to ensure health and avoid preventable diseases and conditions.
Mental health is a state of well-being in which you can cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively, and are able to make a contribution to your community. Mental wellness incorporates stress management with productivity in the workplace.
Spiritual health involves growing in your relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, reading the Bible, serving God, and spending time in spiritually nourishing environments.
