Get to know one of our staff members, Ross!

How long have you been doing this?

I have been involved in golf since the age of 12.

What initially interested you in trying this? 

My initial interest in golfing started when I got to go see Phil Mickelson play at the U.S. Open.

How does this activity make you feel (the process, the accomplishment)?

Golfing has been able to teach me patience. On and off the course, I have been able to be more at peace during stressful situations. 

How has this activity stretched, grown, or challenged you? 

The lessons I have learned through golfing, has translated to even my personality and character off the course with being more at peace during stressful situations.

 My favorite/best achievement doing this is when I got a hole one.

Where do you like doing this activity? 

The place where I enjoy to golf the most is the golf course I grew up next to, Armitage Golf Course in Mechanicsburg, PA.

What is the community aspect of this activity? How does it involve family or friends? 

Community occurs when I go out for a round of golf with friends and family, especially during father – son outings. 

Define success for you - what does it look like? 

Success is improving on one area of my game while one day at a time.

Who or what in this area inspires you? 

The people who inspire and encourage me in this area is Phil Mickelson and my brother.
