written by Josh Yeoman

If you haven’t heard yet, the Student Activities department is gearing up for its first ever ROAD RACE! The Liberty University Charity 5k is scheduled for a 9 AM start in front of the Vines Center on Saturday, April 25.

If you are wondering why Student Activities is all of a sudden so interested in planning a road race, we can explain that in one word: CHARITY. Student Activities desires to give back to some of the non-profits that you, the student body, care about. For this event, we have 7 charities we are funding. They are:

The purpose of this race is to raise awareness and funds for these Liberty University SGA clubs and the charities they support. The cost for students is $15 on or before April 24th.  $5 of each entry will go to one of the seven charities of your choice.

Sign up and we promise you will not regret it. You can count on a well-organized event, great music, awesome t-shirts, delicious food, and terrific door prizes. So come on out, lace up your running shoes, and come pound 3.1 miles of pavement for a good cause!
