Slime Bucket Challenge

January 30, 2015

To get ready for Coffeehouse, we're throwing it back to the 90's the entire month of February and we want to see you get slimed... or your RA! Just post a video to Instagram of you or someone you know getting slimed using the hashtag #SAslimechallenge all throughout the month of February. We'll choose four random winners throughout the month to get some sweet prizes. What could you win, you ask?

Prizes

  • $50 Target + 2 90's Coffeehouse Tickets + SA Prize Pack
  • $50 Target + 2 90's Coffeehouse Tickets + SA Prize Pack
  • $25 Chipotle + $25 BWW + 2 90's Coffeehouse Tickets + SA Prize Pack
  • $25 Chipotle + $25 Starbucks + 2 90's Coffeehouse Tickets + SA Prize Pack

Now, we know you're busy studying so we've put together fifteen (15) DIY Slime kits that can be picked up in our office starting February 2 (first come, first served, so act quick!). But, if we run out and you still want to participate, here's a recipe to make it yourself:

Ingredients

  • 6 packages green Jello powder
  • 1 gallon water, plus more as needed
  • 10 lbs of flour (two 5 lb bags)
  • 1 large bottle of baby shampoo
  • 1 large bottle of green food coloring

Instructions

  • Mix the Jello packages and one 5 lb bag of flour and about 1 gallon of water with a large whisk or electric beaters. Mix well until most of the lumps are out.
  • Add the other 5 lb bag of flour in small increments and mix.
  • Slowly add water to the remaining flour mixture in order to keep slime from being lumpy. Add as much water as needed until the slime is the consistency you desire.
  • Once the slime reaches the consistency you desire, add 1/2 a bottle of baby shampoo and food coloring until slime is the perfect shade of green.

Now - get to it!
