What You Should Know

The 2018 Homecoming Parade will be here on Saturday, October 20 starting at 11:15 a.m. You can participate in the parade if you’re with a dorm or other group of students, SGA Club, University Department, a local business, Club Sports team or one of our fine Athletic teams*. The only groups eligible to win prize money are official SGA clubs*.

  • 1st place gets $500
  • 2nd place gets $400
  • 3rd place gets $300
  • Registration is closed

Don’t let a lack of prize money stop you from parade walking! Even if you just walk down the street dressed in all red carrying a sign indicating who you are, it still helps make a fun parade. Here’s what to do:

  • Gather friends from your dorm, department, or other organization
  • Registration is closed
  • Build your float

2018 Float Guidelines

Other information, such as arrival time and staging location, will be provided to you when you register. Make this the year you stop trying to pick up candy off the road, and become the one who throws it. Come celebrate and get the sugar rush you need for the big game at the Homecoming Parade!

*Float competition open to all official university clubs. Due to new finance policies and tax purposes, prizes will be distributed through internal budget transfers and not via cash. All winning organizations must have a way to receive funds this way.
